The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), founded in 1989 A.D(2045 B.S), is the policy-making and coordination body for Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) programs in Nepal. As a national autonomous body, it develops human resources for Nepal. Specifically, CTEVT focuses on technical education and vocational training at the basic and middle levels. Its assembly consists of 24 members, and its council is made up of nine members. Both the Assembly and the Council are headed by the Minister of Education. Its headquarters is in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, and it has a full-time Vice-Chairman and Member-Secretary. A total of 850 people carry out the system's functions.
